Upgrading from CanIt-PRO to CanIt-Domain-PRO
0) Make SURE that Tutos knows to allow the new product download, e.g.
tutos-cmd.pl addproduct clientname CanIt-Domain-PRO expirydate
1) Make sure they're on the latest version of CanIt-PRO by running this command as root:
upgrade-canit-appliance
2) Edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list. The only line not blank or starting with a "#" reads:
deb http://username:password@debs.roaringpenguin.com/canit/appliance squeeze main canit canit-pro
Add " canit-domain-pro" to the end so it reads:
deb http://username:password@debs.roaringpenguin.com/canit/appliance squeeze main canit canit-pro canit-domain-pro
3) Type:
apt-get update
If you get a GPG error along the lines of:
GPG error: http://debs.roaringpenguin.com squeeze Release: The following signatures were invalid:
Then you need to run:
rm /var/lib/apt/lists/debs.roaringpenguin.com*
and re-run the apt-get update.
4) Type:
apt-get install --download-only canit-domain-pro-distro
So as to minimise downtime.
4a) For a cluster: Stop CanIt on all nodes:
/etc/init.d/canit-system stop
Then, per usual, do the DB machine first.
4b) Type:
apt-get install canit-domain-pro-distro canit-pro-distro-
5) Type:
canit-prepare-system
You are now running CanIt-Domain-PRO.
