If you wish to use LDAP to validate the existence of an email address, but you wish to use AsIs to stream the address, folow these steps:

  1. Create the LDAP user-lookup using the usual configuration.
  2. Under the "Stream Settings" heading, change the entry: "List of attributes to use for stream name:" to something like:
    canitNonExistentAttribute
  3. Then change the entry: "Action if stream attribute missing:" to:
    Use email address (AsIs)

This causes an LDAP lookup to be made (which tests for the existence/nonexistence of the address) but keeps the stream the same (AsIs)
