CanIt 10.1.4 Improves Detection of Obfuscated Attachments
Roaring Penguin Software Inc., announces the release of CanIt 10.1.4. CanIt 10.1.4. improves e-mail security, particularly with improvements to CanIt’s Custom Rules and user interface.
CanIt 10.1.4 provides the following new features:
- Custom Rules creation and editing is simplified by allowing rules to apply to an entire network range. Custom Rules (and similar rules like Archive Rules, etc.) as well as Archive and Log Searches can search within a network range (expressed as a CIDR). For example, you can say: IF Relay Address Is In Network 192.168.5.0/24 THEN ...
- Filename Extension rules now work for “multi-extension” files. This improves security by allowing scanning rules to examine all files as their relevant file type.
- CanIt detects files embedded in PDFs and adds their information to the list of attached filenames.
