Roaring Penguin Software releases CanIt 9.0.8

New features, improvements to existing features, plus upgrades to perl modules and experimental support for Debian 7 "Wheezy" packages and ISO images.

New Features include:

  • IMAP and POP3 user-lookups can rewrite the login name to a stream using a Rewrite Expression.
  • CanIt stores and displays the "full name" from the From: header in the quarantine display and the archive display (archiver add-on only.)

Roaring Penguin Software Inc. is pleased to announce the release of CanIt 9.0.7.

CanIt 9.0.7 introduces an experimental new feature:

System Administrators can choose to tell CanIt to use only local Bayes data if there is enough training for a given token. This algorithm should make CanIt learn more quickly while still retaining the ability to filter new types of mail based on tokens in the Roaring Penguin Training Network ( RPTN). This means that CanIt will respond more quickly to end-users training preferences.
