Roaring Penguin Software Inc., makers of the acclaimed CanIt line of anti-spam solutions, announced that they have partnered with Level Platforms, a leading provider of remote monitoring and management software, to offer a solution to the challenge of monitoring the anti-spam portion of their customers e-mail communications infrastructure.

Spammers crack CAPTCHAs to steal free e-mail providers' reputations
OTTAWA, July 9 2008: Roaring Penguin Software Inc. analyzed three weeks worth of data collected via its RPTN data-collection system and revealed a worrying trend: Spammers are increasingly using free e-mail providers to avoid IP address-based reputation systems. These systems track mail sent by various IP addresses and assign each IP address a rating. Some anti-spam software operates largely or exclusively on the basis of the IP address rating.

The University of East Anglia, located in Norwich, Norfolk, England is one of the latest organizations to adopt Roaring Penguin Software's CanIt-PRO anti-spam solution.

MAJOR NEW FEATURE: Users can configure an RSS feed of pending incidents. This allows you to use your favourite RSS feed reader to monitor your trap.
MAJOR IMPROVEMENT: Pending notifications are only sent out if there are new pending messages. Also, you can configure notifications to be submittable forms; this allows you to accept or reject messages directly from your e-mail client without having to authenticate with CanIt.
