Roaring Penguin Software – Unterstützung für IPv6 angekündigt
Roaring Penguin Software Inc. hat heute angekündigt, dass CanIt 6.10 bereits experimentelle Unterstützung für IPv6 beinhaltet. Es ist somit in der Lage E-Mail via SMTP über IPv6 auszuliefern und anzunehmen und zugleich Regel-Lookups gegen IPv6 Adressen- und Netzwerke zu fahren. Zudem können alle CanIt Komponenten clusterintern kommunizieren.
Roaring Penguin's Kundenstamm an Universitäten, ISPs und MSPs wird IPv6 als willkommene Technologie übernehmen.

Roaring Penguin announces the release of the Preco Electronics case study
Roaring Penguin announced the release of the Preco Electronics case study today. Preco Electronics, a 75-user engineering firm with a legacy that includes inventing the first all-solid state backup alarm made to withstand the extreme conditions of industrial job sites, had a working outsourced anti‑spam solution. Why change? The cost savings of bringing the application in-house are calculated to be 40% in the first year, and projected to achieve savings of 80% plus in the second and ongoing years.
